Andaman and Nicobar Island

They are considered the trade route between India and East Asia. Many travelers mentioned this place; few were Arab travelers, Chinese Buddhist Monk, and Marco Polo.
During the British colonial period, the Britishers wanted to make a penal colony, and in 1858 they established Port Blair. During World War 2, the Japanese took control on both islands, but the Britishers recaptured the land and abolished the penal colony.
After the independence, the control of the Island was passed to India. This island was flooded by the tsunami in 2004. The main reason of that was the earthquake that occurred in the Indian Ocean near Indonesia.
Lakshadweep Island
Many travelers also discover this place, and it was mentioned first by the Greek sailor, which referred to it as the tortoise shell. Soon after, the Arab traders discovered it and converted the islanders to Islam.
Then the Malabar Coast annexed the islands, which turned the island into the Hindu dynasty. Later the princess married a Muslim who converted the island back to a Muslim place.
The island fall back to India during the independence in 1947, and the Sovereignty was transferred back to India, and the islands were constituted as a union territory in 1956.
Chandigarh
When the partition happened in India in 1947, the old British provision was divided into two parts. India was the eastern part, and Pakistan was the western part. The part given to India needed higher authority and administration. So to make that, Chandigarh was appointed as the capital of Punjab.
On November 1, 1966, Chandigarh became a Union Territory. It happened when this state was referred to as the capital of two different states. One state is Haryana, which used to speak in Hindi, and the other is Punjab, whose native was Punjabi.
Delhi
The first reference of this was given in Mahabharat. After that it appeared when Raja Dhilu started to build a city near Qutub Minar.
In Delhi, many dynasties ruled this city. The Khilji dynasty came in power and controlled the city in the 13th CenturyCentury. After that, in 1321 the powers were shifted in the hands of the Tughluq dynasty; they extended the city in the north direction.
Under the Mughal dynasty, Shah Jahan built many gates few of which are – the Kashmiri Gate, the Turkman Gate, the Delhi Gate, and the Ajmeri Gate, which are still present in Delhi.
The city’s shape, architecture, and everything that Delhi had is only because of Sir Edwin Lutyens. The Britishers moved to New Delhi in 1912, and everything was completed in 1931.
Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu
Dadra and Nagar haveli was under Portuguese rule. They were under the control of the Portuguese till the time it merged with India and was given the status of U ion Territory in 1961.
With the merger of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu in 2020, they formed a new union territory named Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
Diu and Daman were also under Portuguese colonial control in 1987. The main source of this union territory are textiles and pharmaceuticals, and the economies of both territories are heavily dependent. Tourism is also considered the key.
The culture of this city is a mixture of Portuguese and Indian influences reflected in their architecture, cuisine, and festivals.

Ladakh

Puducherry
Puducherry, which was previously known as Pondicherry. It is the union territory in the southeastern part of India. This state was under the control of the French colony. But when it merged with Indian Union in 1954, the control was shifted.
Many leaders played a major role in India’s freedom struggle, such as Subramanian Bharati, Aurobindo Ghosh, and Mahatma Gandhi. Today this place is known for its beaches, temples, and ashramas. This city is a unique mixture of cultures and languages, with French, Tamil, and English all commonly spoken.
