TNPSC  Government Exam and Syllabus:-

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission(TNPSC) is a state public service exam which is organized by the department of Tamil Nadu. The exam is held  in three-stage: Prelim Exam, Main Exam, and Interview.

TNPSC EXAM Types:-

Group 1-, Group-2, Group-3, Group-4, TNPSC combined engineering service exam, TNPSC ASE exam & TNPSC DEO exam.

Eligibility criteria of the TN public service commission:-

Group 1:

Qualification- He/ She needs to be a graduate-degree holder from any University recognized under the Central Act, the UGC Act, or a State Act.
Age limit- General candidate should be upper 32 years. Those candidates belong from ST, SC, SC (A), and other backward communities they have 5 years of age limit relaxation.

Group-2:

Qualification- The educational qualification required for Group-2 posts varies according to the post specialization but candidates need to be a graduate or post-graduate degree holder from any university recognized under the Central Act, the UGC Act or a State Act.

Age limit- The minimum age for the candidate is 20,22& 26 years respectively and the maximum age limit is 30 years. Those candidates belong from ST, SC, SC (A), and other backward communities, there is no maximum age limit.

Group-3:

Qualification- candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.
Age limit-For a General candidate, the minimum age limit to apply for the exams is 18, and the maximum is 42.

Group-4:

Qualification- He/She must have passed the S.S.L.C. Public examinations or any such equivalent examination and should be eligible to enroll in Higher secondary or college studies but the qualifications required vary according to the post specialization.

Age limit- The minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 30 years for the general candidates. Those candidates belong from ST, SC, SC (A), and other backward communities, the age limit is 35 years.

TNPSC combined engineering service:-

Qualification- The candidate must have a B.E. degree or equivalent degree in the specialization relevant to the post from a university recognized by the UGC, the Central Government, or any state government.

Age limit- For general candidates, the minimum age limit is 18 years and The maximum age limit is 30 years. The candidates belong to ST, SC, SC (A), and other backward communities, the minimum age limit is 18 years and there is no maximum age limit.

TNPSC ASE exam:

Qualification- Candidate needs to have a B.E. or B.Tech degree in the relevant specialization. In the case of some posts, a diploma degree in the relevant specialization also serves the purpose.

Age limit- There is no minimum age limit but the maximum age limit is 30 years. For ST, SC, SC (A), and other backward community candidates the maximum age limit is 35 years.

TNPSC DEO exam:

Qualification- Candidate should have a Master’s degree of a B.T., or a B.Ed and must have studied Tamil under part 1 or 2 of the Pre-university course or the Higher Secondary Course.

Age limit- The maximum age limit is 40 years. For ST, SC, SC (A), and other backward community candidates there is no age limit.

Candidates are not eligible for TNPSC?

Com, B.A Economics, B.A English, B.A political science, B.A Sociology degree candidate are not eligible for the exam.

Is Tamil necessary in TNPSC Syllabus or Exam:-

No, But more questions from Tamil literature and Tamil Nadu history will be asked so you just prepared. But, if you are non-residing Tamilian you should be chosen Tamil as a second language.

Exam paper pattern of TNPSC:-

Group 1:
1. Prelims- one objective paper(300 Marks).
2. Mains- Three descriptive paper(750 Marks).
3. Interview- (100 Marks).

Note- There is no negative marking in the marking in the exam.

Group 2 & Group 3:-
1.Prelims- objective paper(200 Marks).
2. Mains- exam has been divided into two parts A & B(300 Marks).
3.Interview- (40 Marks).

Group 4:-
1. Objective type questions.
2. No questions-(200).
3. Total Marks-(300 Marks).
4. Minimum qualifying Marks-( 90 Marks).
5. Duration-(3 hours).

How to apply for TNPSC Exam:-

Go to the website www.tnpsc.gov.in

If you do have a Registration ID then Apply the form and if you do not have a registered ID, go to the One-time Registration Section.

 

There, you will find the form to register in the database then provide all the details asked correctly.

 

A one-time payment of 150/- has to be paid to obtain the OTR Number. You can pay this through online payment methods.

Once you have your registration ID, you can log in to the TNPSC site to fill the TNPSC Application Form.

On the right corner of the site, you will find a red button that says Apply Online. Click on it.

You will be directed to the TNPSC Exams portal.

Select the TNPSC Group exam 2020. Once it opens, fill the form with all the details and information asked in their respective columns.

Click on submit after rechecking the details.

You will have to scan and upload the documents such as mark sheets, Community certificate, Educational Certificate, Identity proof, etc. Make sure that the scanned copy is legible and clear.

Once the TNPSC Group application is filled, move to payment. Pay for the application fee, as asked.

After the online payment is successful, download your TNPSC Group Application.

Print the form for your reference.

Latest update of TNPSC exam:-

TNPSC Group 4 Exam Date 2020 has announced by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. The TNPSC Group 4 Exam has scheduled the exam in September 2020. TNPSC Group 4 Admit Card will be available in online mode only.
